At Kronokare and Spiceology, we are deeply committed to responsible packaging and plastic waste management in alignment with India's Plastic Waste Management Rules and our Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations. This page helps you understand the plastic codes, how to dispose responsibly, and where to drop your used packaging.


🔹 Understanding Plastic Identification Codes

Plastic packaging is marked with a number from 1 to 7 inside a triangle of arrows. Each code tells you what kind of plastic the packaging is made from and whether it can be recycled.

🔢 Good Disposal Practices

  • ✅ Dry recyclable waste: Rinse and segregate recyclables (PET, HDPE, PP).

  • ♻️ Soft plastics (LDPE): Return to soft plastic collection points or general waste if none available.

  • ⚠️ PVC & multilayer (codes 3 & 7): Dispose in general waste.

  • ⚫ Never burn plastic waste.

  • Avoid single-use plastics and over-wrapped items.

  • Reuse containers when possible.

  • Scan QR codes on our products for specific disposal guidance.

🌍 Authorized EPR Collection Centers in India

As per CPCB norms, every producer/brand owner is required to register under EPR and link their packaging to authorized recyclers and collection points.
